If you’ve ever owned a home or moved out of a rental, you’re likely familiar with spackle. Sometimes called spackling paste, spackle is used to fill holes or cracks in siding, walls, or ceilings. You’ll find many types of spackle to choose from at Dunn Lumber, but these are some of our favorites.
3 fuss-free types of spackle
3M™ High Strength Small Hole Repair
Designed for interiors only, this lightweight spackle is great for little nicks or holes, but it can also fill holes up to three inches in diameter. You don’t need to follow with a primer (before painting) when using this product, plus it dries quite quickly, making it fast and simple to use.
Crawford’s Vinyl Spackling
This spackling paste is popular amongst contractors thanks to its high quality and versatility. It’s a heavy, creamy paste that goes on easily, working both on interior and exterior surfaces. It doesn’t shrink as it dries, and you can paint it within minutes of applying.
DAP DryDex Spackling
This color-changing spackle is pink and has a patented “Dry Time Indicator” that tells when the spackle is fully dry. It goes onto the surface pink and turns white when it's ready to sand and paint.
With these products, you can tackle—and spackle—any small holes or cracks in your home.
