Growing up, my mom had a feather duster, but it failed to capture dust. Instead of picking it up, dust would just blow the around and land somewhere else. I retired the feather duster and resorted to glass cleaner and a rag to dust instead. After I moved out on my own, I wanted to use natural products in my home. I decided to make my own dusting spray and that’s the recipe I’m sharing with you today.
Step 1
Start with one cup of distilled water. Alternately, you can use water that’s been boiled and cooled. Using distilled or boiled water will allow you to store the dusting spray.
Step 2
Next, add ¼ cup white vinegar for naturally disinfecting power. Lastly, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add your favorite essential oil for a nice scent or additional disinfecting potency. Check out our essential oils post to learn how to incorporate essential oils into your DIY green cleaning products.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake before each use, or it will separate (as it did below).
